Superbrain / Planned memory design

A little less
starting over.

An AI companion should be able to carry useful context forward. You should be able to understand and change that context, too.

This is the memory experience planned for Superbrain's first Android version. The app is in development, with no public download or release date.

Axo, the AI companion we're building

Keep what matters to you.

Our plan is selective memory you ask Axo to save: a preference, a goal, or an ongoing situation you want to return to. Saving a useful detail should not mean promising that Axo will recall every word of every conversation.

“Remember that I'm preparing for a design interview, and I'd like to practice explaining my portfolio.”

An illustrative request, showing the kind of context memory could carry forward.

That gives a later conversation a useful starting point. It says what you're preparing for and what help you want, without needing to save every detail of the day.

Four requests. Clear effects.

We're designing memory controls around ordinary conversation. These are the intended actions, rather than instructions for an app you can use today.

Save
Ask Axo to remember a preference or situation. The conversation should acknowledge the saved detail so you can check it.
Inspect
Ask what has been saved. You should be able to see the context intended to inform future replies.
Correct
Change an inaccurate or outdated detail. The corrected memory should guide later recall.
Remove
Remove a saved detail so it is no longer used as a durable memory. This action has a specific scope.

Memory and history are separate.

A saved memory is a selected detail. Conversation history contains the messages you sent and received. Removing a memory does not erase the original message from history. If that message remains in an active conversation, it can still provide context there.

Deleting history and removing saved memories are separate actions. Neither should be described as instant deletion from every provider, backup, or system. The app privacy-policy draft explains the current deletion boundaries and the release details still being finalized.

Continuity, with room for correction.

The goal is to pick up a useful thread, not make you repeat an introduction. Axo can still misunderstand a detail or fail to bring it back at the right moment. A short reminder and a clear correction should help keep the conversation on track.

See how requested memory fits into an illustrative interview-preparation conversation, alongside listening, research, and practical help.
